The integration provides an automated integration between Sage MAS 500 and Ecommerce by integrating using Sage MAS 500’s Visual Integrator interface and SQL Server ODBC driver between the two applications. Automated jobs are setup that can run at different timed intervals. For example the Ecommerce product catalog integration with Sage MAS 500 items may run twice a day which will bring in new items in Ecommerce if any from Sage MAS 500 while the Ecommerce and Sage MAS 500 sales order integration may run every 20 minutes. The integration can be behind a firewall using the intranet domain connectivity or outside on a publicly available domain. This integration environment allows Hitachi Solutions Ecommerce to be hosted practically anywhere. Customers can host Hitachi Solutions Ecommerce in the same network where Sage MAS 500 resides or in a completely different network such as by using a dedicated server with a third party hosting service.
